What types of sessions do you offer?
At Ten Little Bluebirds Photography we offer 2 types of sessions Premier Session Experience as well as a First Birthday Session Experience.
Premier Session Experiences
Great for both family and newborn sessions.
They can take place on location or in our downtown Naperville Studio.
Creative Session Fee is $600 in studio and $700 on location (additional $100 for a weekend session).
These sessions include the immediate family.
They also include hair and makeup for one person (*additional hair and makeup can always be added on and can make for a fun getting ready party for mother and daughter, or extended family sessions).
First Birthday Session Experiences
Great for - well…. first birthdays.
They take place in our beautiful all white downtown Naperville Studio (25 W. Jefferson 2nd floor).
Creative Session Fee is $350.
Each sessions is about 40 minutes in length.
How much does the Session Cost?
There is a non refundable Creative Session fee to book your shoot and reserve your date.
Our Premier Portrait Experience both family and newborn include professional hair and makeup and approximately 1-2 hour photoshoot experience.
Our First Birthday Session also require a creative session fee for each participant and hair and makeup can be added if needed.
The Creative Session fee does not include JPEGS.
After every shoot, we will have a reveal and sales session so you will get to see your photos and decide what you want to purchase from your shoot.
We offer luxury albums, framed wall art, and digital downloads.
Our Portrait Session Print Art Collections start at $990 (prints only) and Digital and Printed Art Collections start at $1600.
A la carte pricing starts at $650.
Most people don’t know exactly what they want to purchase until they see their photos. There is no minimum amount that you need to spend - you simply purchase what you love.
We offer a number financing options so that you can purchase what you love.
When is the best time to schedule a photography session with you?
Family Sessions
We recommend booking your session 6-8 weeks in advance of your desired date so that we can make sure to accommodate you. This also gives you enough time to plan the details so that you don’t feel rushed. No matter what your timeline is, get in touch - we can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests.
Newborn Sessions
When it comes to lifestyle newborn photography the best time for your newborn's photo session is entirely up to you. Whether your baby is 2 days old, 2 weeks old or even 2 months, we believe that beautiful photos can be captured at any point during this early stage. We prioritize your comfort and readiness. You would book your session and reach out to us after the baby is born and let us know your preference and we will get you scheduled.
First Birthday Cake Smash Sessions
We recommend scheduling your first birthday sessions at about 11 months (or at least 1 month in advance of the birthday party). This way you will have your photos ready in advance of the party to use for invitations, posters, and thank you notes. We offer a limited number of cake smash sessions per month so make sure to reach out a couple of months before to guarantee your time and date.
What happens if I need to reschedule my Portrait Experience?
We understand that dates can change and as a mom myself I am sympathetic to children's illnesses, sports schedules and lack of sleep after a newborn shoot. Though our session fees are non-refundable they can be transferred to another same type of session one time within 6 months.
How long does the Experience Last?
Family Sessions
1 hour photo shoot and 1 hour hair and makeup.
Newborn Sessions
Up to 2 hours for photo shoot and 1 hour hair and makeup. Please note that for newborn sessions we also allow time for feeding, changing, and comforting so that you don’t feel rushed.
First Birthday with cake smash experience (SIMPLE)
About 40 minutes - this includes 3 outfits - cake smash - and balloon.
What should we wear for the photo shoot?
When it comes to styling we’ve got you covered. We use an online styling program which guides you with styles and color palettes for one person or an entire family. It provides great guidance for what you already own in your closets or provides you links to purchase the specific outfits.
We also have stylists that we love to work with and would happily recommend. This is purchased through the stylist and her prices start at $150.
For newborn sessions, we recommend keeping it super simple with plain onesies, swaddles, or even just a diaper. This focuses the attention on the baby rather than the outfit. It is also fun to incorporate a special blanket, baby gift or a family heirloom to add a personal touch.
Where do Sessions Typically Take Place?
Family and Newborn Session experience
Typically take place in our gorgeous downtown Naperville studio or at a location of your choice. We take into consideration the ages of your family members, lighting, and locations that are meaningful to you and your family. I love to travel too (additional costs may apply depending on the location).
First Birthday Session
First Birthday Sessions will take place in our beautiful all white downtown Naperville studio. We find that this is a beautiful location to capture these milestones and work well with minimal distractions for small children.
Are other family members allowed to participate in the session?
Family and Newborn Session Experience
Our Family Session Experience typically focuses on the intermediate family. However, we are happy to offer extended family sessions and do charge a $30 fee per extra person due to the additional time needed for editing and organizing.
Our Newborn Session Experience very much have a family focus. We encourage parents, siblings, and even pets to be included in the session. It is so special to capture your loved ones at this time especially for your baby to go back and see over and over again.
First Birthday Session Experiences
The First Birthday Session Experience in our studio includes the baby only.
How soon will we see our photos and receive our products?
We know how exciting it is to see your photos so we will work with you to have your reveal and ordering session the same day as your sessions. If this is not possible we will schedule as close to your session as possible - we aim for within 24 - 72 hours. You will see a gallery of lightly edited photos and choose what you want to purchase during this call. Then we will go back for a deeper edit of whatever photos you choose to add to your collection or print. You will receive your jpegs within 24 hours of your ordering and we will begin the process of working on your album design and printing. You will typically receive your order within 6-8 weeks.
What are the studio hours?
Our offices are open Monday-Friday 9 AM - 4 PM. Our shoots and timing are by appointment and vary throughout the week.
